Steve Goodman

Boys Varsity Baseball
Steve Goodman is in his first year as an assistant varsity baseball coach at Topsail. A native of Virginia, Goodman was a varsity head coach at Nelson County HS for four years. After moving to the Wilmington area, he served as an assistant varsity baseball coach at Laney HS (Wilmington) for seven years. He was a part of the coaching staff for Laney’s 2010 4A state championship and two other trips to the 4A playoffs.
Goodman was a varsity baseball player at Langley HS (McLean, VA) and a four-year starter at Division III Lynchburg (VA) College. He also played three seasons in the Valley League, a summer college league in the Shenandoah Valley (VA).
Goodman is married with two children and three grandchildren. He lives in Hampstead.
